Worm Bins!

Worm bins make composting easier, faster, and are a more efficient way to convert kitchen and garden scraps, as well as junk mail into nutrient-rich compost for your plants and garden with the use of worms.

Using worms for composting (or vermicomposting) is an excellent way to get the most desirable compost for your plants and gardens. The worms and bacteria inside the worms break down kitchen scraps and junk mail and add enzymes and nutrients to the compost. Worm composting creates the kind of compost your plants and gardens will use and thrive.  (Note, for junk mail, cut mail, computer paper, or newspaper into one- or two-inch strips - black and white mail only as the color dye in color mail may be harmful to worms).

Adding worms to your compost pile helps speed up the composting process as worms continually eat through the waste.

Worm composting also allows you to create your own compost. Worm castings and "worm tea" can be expensive. By making your own, you can have a continuous supply of nutrient-rich compost at a low cost.

Finally, recycling your kitchen and garden scraps, junk mail by worm composting helps reduce your environmental impact while putting something beneficial back into the earth.

The Worm Factory®

Worm Factory® is a multi-tray worm composter that helps manage the composting process. 

The Worm Factory® design uses an upward migration system that allows food waste to be put into upper trays separating it from finished compost in the lower trays.  Simply fill the bottom tray with worms, bedding, and food scraps.  As the worms finish digesting, they will migrate upward into the tray above, leaving rich castings behind. 

In full operation, the Worm Factory® houses approximately 10 lbs. of worms, consuming 5 to 8 pounds of food per day, allowing you to harvest a full tray of castings per month.  Each Worm Factory comes with full instructions and everything you need to get started. 

This Worm Factory® is constructed from high quality recycled plastic, and it has a limited 5-year warranty on materials and workmanship.  It is very simple to assemble and can be stored inside or outside.  The 3-tray Worm Factory® measures 16 x 16 x 21 tall, and additional height depends on number of trays used.

The Worm Inn®

The Worm Inn® is a true flow-thru processor.  Worms, bedding, and scraps go in the top...castings come out of the bottom.  When castings are ready, simply release the toggles when you are ready to harvest. 

The Worm Inn® is mdae out of breathable, yet extraordinarily durable material  The same materials used in high-end backpacks.  Air flow is a key component to this design as it provides continuous air flow throughout the composting system.

The Worm Inn® can fit almost anywhere with a footprint of 18" x 18".
