At BWCN Worm Farm, we raise Red Wiggler worms to make worm castings (also known as vermicasting or worm poo).  The worms are also useful for live fishing bait, for vermicomposting, and for pet food.  The worm castings are an all-natural soil amendment.  To assist in the vermicomposting efforts, we sell vermicomposting worm houses (aka The Worm Inn) and (aka The Worm Factory).  These Inns and bins are an efficient way to convert kitchen and garden waste into nutrient-rich compost for your garden.  We also supply Red Wiggler cocoons (worm eggs) to increase the worm population in your soil.

WORM INNS AND WORM BINS FOR COMPOSTING WITH WORMS:  Red Wiggler worms are excellent in Vermiculture systems. You can produce worm castings, while you are raising extra worms for your garden or for fishing.   We carry two types of worm bins:  The Worm Factory and the Worm Inn.

PET FOOD: Red Wiggler Worms worms are widely known in pet trade as bird, fish, koy, turtle, and lizard food - but frogs and toads also love them.

Red Wiggler Cocoons (Worm Eggs):   Worms play an important role in the creation of healthy, productive, "living" soil and sustaining agricutlure.  Studies show that worms hatched in a new environment are able to adapt better than transporting and releasing live worms. Thus, we recommend using cocoons if you need to increase the worm population in your garden or farm.

Books2.jpg BOOKS: We recommend two books related to promoting a healthy & sustainable environment: Teaming with Microbes (2010 Edition) and Worms Eat My GarbageTeaming with Microbes focuses on the importance of healthy, living soil for our environment and how promoting it reduces the need for chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in gardens and farms.  Worms Eat My Garbage provides a complete guide to composting with worms (vermicomposting) to convert food and garden scraps into all-natural worm compost for your garden
